Every so often something interesting and unexpected comes down the pipeline. When you see it you think, “Well, I certainly would never have thought of that.” This is one of those things. Between its art style, the catchy music, and the strange almost magic realism of the whole thing, it certainly captured my attention.
It was the night before the solstice and all through the sepulchral chambers, not an eldritch abomination was gibbering… EXCEPT FOR CTHULHU!
This cute and cuddly elder being was made by Amy L. Rawson and Brian East and is on sale at Etsy Shop. As you know, I have a thing for Christmas themed, sanity shattering horrors and this little guy definitely makes the grade. Stop by Rawson’s website and have a look around. I highly recommend having a look at the art dolls which seem to be cut straight from the fabric of imagination.
You know when you have a book you love, I mean really love. You know all the creases on its cover, you can recite the thing cover to cover, you have a familiarity with the smell of the pages. Maybe you don’t and I’m just obsessed with books. But if you do, doesn’t it just break your heart to think of someone coming along and separating you from your beloved treasure? Well, fear no more because this wonderfully monstrous and creative knit book cover is here to frighten away anyone who has untoward thoughts for your book. You can check out the site and order your own book monster and have the piece of mind that comes from knowing your books are safe and sound.
A Merry Christmas to all! May your solstice have been packed with joy and unspeakable cosmic terrors from beyond the placid shores of this universe!
If I had known about this cute little guy before hand, I would have summoned him from the depths of his dread house, which you can access here. But there is always next year. I’d love to invite the Great Old one into my home where he could wait and dream till it is time to rise once again and cast the Earth into madness and misery.
